It never ceases to amaze us how an engineer can sign off allowing a builder to pour concrete when the substrate is uncompacted and bar chairs are compressed into the vapour barrier causing insufficient concrete coverage and incorrect location of slab reinforcing.

Our client was very concerned when the report we provided identified 50 areas on the slab that did not meet the engineers plan / design requirement. There will be no concrete poured until defects are rectified.
