Answer : Most repeated defect items found on Slab Stage inspections were Gaps in Moisture Barrier, Insufficient Clearance / Concrete Coverage on Reinforcing Mesh, Incorrect Size and Alignment of Beams & Reinforcing. The alarming fact with all these inspections is the engineers inspection had approved the footings & slab as OK to pour / encase in concrete. Defects have been found on every slab inspected this year. Fortunately the builders recognised the information supplied on our reports and rectified them prior to installing concrete.
