Older style homes have septic / waste systems that may effect the health of the homes occupants. Recent property for sale where drainage smells evident externally and wafting through the home internally. Not a great selling point. Tanks were cracked and poorly sealed. In some cases repairs may not be allowed to septic systems and upgrading to a new eco system can be a costly exercise.
