Building Reports
Reports are conducted to the Australian Standard AS 4349.1 Appendix C (Informative). This ensures you receive an informative report above the general industry standard of "Structural Only". Reports have detailed comments and photographic evidence. ( 80 photos ) or more in some cases and are generally available on a 24 hr turn around.
You are welcome to attend your building inspection with us. We are happy to discuss your concerns and provide you with a full run down, walking you through the property internally and externally when we have completed our inspection.
Coastal Home & Building Inspections uses the latest Flir Thermal Imaging & Moisture detection equipment on every inspection.
Pest Inspection & Reports
When inspecting your property we always use a separate specialist pest technician to specifically address termite and pest issues.
Two individual inspectors give you an overall inspection time of 3 hours and a more thorough inspection / generally twice the amount of time spent with combined inspections where the building inspectior also conducts the pest inspection.
In most cases with combined building & pest inspections the building inspector has a restricted pest inspection license only and may not have the industry qualifications and experience to make an informed decision on the extent of termite damage, treatment methods or pest management / barrier systems and pricing in which case you will need to employ a licensed pest technician.
Our service can provide all the necessary information and invasive inspections to ensure you make an informed decision where termites have entered the property and are concealed.
